Free Birth Control was the Gateway to High Priced HIV Prevention Pharma Drugs

Posted by Jenny Lea on June 30, 2018 at 2:20 PM Comments comments ()

From 2008 to 2011, Democrat Politicians claimed women have been wanting insurance companies to pay for birth control pills for decades. BULL$%IT! Since at least the late 1970’s women have asked, petitioned and protested for insurance companies to be required to cover partial hysterectomies, not just full hysterectomies. Birth control pills can cause mood swings, decreased libido, weight gain, spotting and many other side effects. For some women, birth control pills do not...

Planned Parenthood is Outdated

Posted by Jenny Lea on August 5, 2015 at 9:45 PM Comments comments ()

At least one state, New Hampshire, has voted to defund Planned Parenthood. When Planned Parenthood was started they had a purpose that went beyond abortions. They supplied women a not so expensive or free place to go for a general gynecology check up, STD testing and birth control. However, times have changed and more clinics offer government funded medical care. The Affordable Care Act now forces people to have some kind of health insurance reducing the need for a...

OMG! School Lunches Suck!!!

Posted by Jenny Lea on September 10, 2014 at 10:15 PM Comments comments ()

At what point in time did the school lunches not suck? Everyone makes it sound as if school lunches use to be prepared by gourmet chefs. Out of all the options I had to choose from during my time in school, the only lunches I ever remember eating at school were pizza and enchiladas. That was pretty much it. The burgers tasted like plastic, and the only dessert worth eating was the mixed fruit.

Since Michele Obama, a Democrat First Lady, ...

Are you a good cook?

Posted by Jenny Lea on August 24, 2014 at 1:25 AM Comments comments ()

Determining whether or not one is a good cook is not an easy task and one that should never be forced. It takes patients and good observation.

I ask my husband if the food is good, if it is worth cooking again or needs adjustments. Mainly because he eats my cooking every week and in most cases ends up being the main guinea pig for any new recipes I put together or try out. I do not get upset if he happens to tell me it needs less garlic,...

What is up with the FDA?

Posted by Jenny Lea on September 15, 2013 at 3:50 PM Comments comments ()

The FDA tells Americans they are here to protect us and many Americans say the FDA does protect us. However, if that truly were the case, why is it the FDA spends more time approving artificial ingredients and ignores so many natural ingredients? They pretty much tell Americans to eat 100% natural products and supplements at your own risk; because, so many of them are not FDA approved. Who should we trust more, Mother Nature or the artificial ingredients? I understand consumers...

The FDA Protects Americans.........

Posted by Jenny Lea on May 5, 2013 at 6:45 PM Comments comments ()

Why would the FDA (Food and Drug Association) ever dream of allowing artificial anything in the food supply?

Why would society ever accept it?

As for the FDA they are looked at as the guru to making sure everything the public eats is safe, but then again they are also controlled by the government. The same government who historically has exper...

Favorite Beef Stew

Posted by Jenny Lea on January 22, 2012 at 4:10 PM Comments comments ()

I totally love this recipe. I found it at “Slow Cooker Casseroles & More” on page 230. However, you do not have to cook it in a slow cooker if you do not wish to. I am not always big on beef stews with a strong red wine taste, so I love this non-red wine version. If you consider most vegetable to be unlimited than the only calories you will need to worry about is the beef, potatoes and beef broth.

Chicken Pepperoni

Posted by Jenny Lea on October 29, 2011 at 5:00 PM Comments comments ()

I totally love this recipe and it is so easy to make. You actually have three possible methods of preparing this meal: Stove Top, Oven or Crock Pot. The main difference between each method is cooking time. The calorie count per serving is actually lower than I had expected; however, the fat percentage is a bit high that is why I never make this meal any more than once a month.
